Welcome to
Green Mountain Peer Projects!
Since 1982, GMPP has been training
youth throughout Vermont. As a
small non-profit organization, we work in partnership with communities, schools
and organizations to support positive youth development. Our mission is to
inspire youth to make healthy choices and pursue leadership opportunities.
GMPP is a private, non-profit
organization established in 1982, providing education and training for
individuals, organizations, and schools on issues relating to substance abuse
prevention. The agency offers a series of affirming, informative, and
experiential programs that help youth build strength of character, camaraderie,
a broad network of support and lives that are dependency free.
Our current programs include:
- Green Mountain Teen Institute
- Peer Leadership Program
- Green Mountain Middle School
Institute
- Teen Leadership Conference
- Vermont Kids Against Tobacco
(in conjunction with the Vermont
Department of Health
At GMPP we believe that prevention
is the most powerful deterrent possible. Ours is the only residential program
in Vermont that takes on the drug
problem before it's a problem. We give Vermont
teens the information, personal skills, and self esteem they need to cope with
the pressures of an increasingly complex world...without alcohol, tobacco, or
other drugs. These teens are prepared to be role models and leaders in
prevention in their schools and communities. Participants of these programs
gain a positive sense of themselves and what they can do in their own lives and
in their community to make a difference.

questions give us a call.
