We have had a busy fall! Four weekend training
session for the Vermont Kids Against Tobacco program
were held in October and November. One Junior High Project
training was held in November, and weekend #2 will be held January 10-12.
Our Advisor Engergizer is
coming right up!
January 24-25, 2003 at
the Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, VT.
See GMPP’s Calendar
of Events for more details. Throughout the 2002-2003 school year we will be
providing Peer Leadership Programs
(PLPs) in schools around the state. Call us to arrange a PLP for your school or
community organization!
At Green Mountain Prevention Projects (GMPP), we believe that prevention is the most powerful deterrent possible. Ours is the only residential program in Vermont that takes on the drug problem before it's a problem. We give teens the information, personal skills, and self esteem they need to cope with the pressures of an increasingly complex world -- without alcohol, tobacco or other drugs. These teens are prepared to be role models and leaders in prevention in their schools and communities.
GMPP is a private non-profit organization, established in 1982, providing education and training for individuals, organizations, and schools on issues relating to substance abuse prevention. The agency offers a series of affirming, informative, and experiential programs that help youth build strength of character, camaraderie, a broad network of support and lives that are dependency free.
See the GMPP Overview and GMPP History Page for more information.
